Don Pepino and the Droste Effect
I’ve seen this strange, colorful Don Pepino can any number of times and never really gave it much thought. While shopping last week for pizza-making ingredients, I suddenly saw it with new eyes. What’s that the little chef-mascot on the can is holding in his hand? A little Don Pepino can? (Duh!—and I’d thought I had already fully cataloged all of the “Droste effect” packages that our local supermarket carries.)
